Using the Door

Corey remains the only nun in her Order who still wears a traditional habit. In fact, she hasn’t left the Convent in 25 years. Aided by the spirited Sister Michael, Corey returns to her childhood home to oversee her recently deceased mother’s burial. Corey discovers her mother’s wake already in progress. Her mother may be dead, but Corey finds she keeps popping up with something to say. Corey’s forgotten sister, Moira, has a propensity for using windows instead of doors, and harbors a deep resentment that Corey left her with their unloving mother. The reunion leads Corey out of her habit and into smoking, drinking, cursing, and wearing her mother’s clothes. By the journey’s end, Corey must decide the truth about her mother, and whether or not she will abandon Moira once more.
