- Lindsey- Young tough who can’t get her life ‘right.’ Younger than Abby and Rose. White.
- Abby – Restaurant owner, mother, partnered with Rose; White.
- Walter – Nature lover; Rose’s elderly estranged father. African-American.
- Jane -Self-hating sociopath. Around the same age as Abby and Rose. Alternates as Doctor, and Minister. White.
- Rose – Chef; transitions from hard and confident before her brain injury, to soft and confused post-brain injury. African-American.
- Daniel – Nervous, insecure Sous Chef. Younger than Abby and Rose. Any race/ethnicity.
- Ray – Alternately the Nanny, Bar Boy, Sheriff. Any age, any race/ethnicity.
- Jarid – Irresponsible friend, and sperm donor, to Rose and Abby. The same age as Abby. African-American.
Note about the ages of Abby and Rose:
They should be old enough to have been together long enough to have 5 & 6 year old children. They could be in their late 20’s, their 30’s or 40’s.
